A little about Roseate House...

Dating from 1702 Roseate house is a fine example of Georgian architecture and is a listed building located in the Historic Village of Warkworth close to the sea and a great central location for your holiday in Northumberland.

Warkworth is the jewel in Northumberlands crown and is perfectly located as a base for you to explore the whole of the region.

Warkworth is dominated by the Medieval Castle which sits high above the village and the village is surrounded on 3 sides by the River Coquet.

There is a lot of historical information to discover in Warkworth itself with the oldest Norman Church in Northumberland in the centre of the village not to mention the castle itself.

Warkworth is also very popular with those who enjoy nature with an abudance of wild life including seals , otters, kingfishers and the local herons. Roseate house gets its name from the Roseate Terns which can often be seen around the area.

There are bird sanctuaries nearby and a visit across to the Coquet or Farne islands should not be missed.

The village has a wealth of pubs and restaurants, cafes, art galleries and gift shops.
